Who We Are

The Oregon Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (OBFAA) was established in 1977, and is dedicated to serving the needs of the security, fire and electronic systems industry of Oregon.  We represent the interests of the security, fire and electronic systems industry through legal research, code and legislative advocacy, public relations, education, career opportunities, trade education and establishing high standards of conduct.  Our members include security, fire and electronic systems installing and servicing companies, monitoring central stations, security, fire and technology equipment suppliers and distributors and fire responding and enforcement agencies.

We offer a variety of resources to the public, including information on choosing a reputable security, fire and electronic systems company, how to file a complaint against a member company, and links to information about licensing for a property alarm, and trade and career opportunities
